There hasn’t been too much going on so I don’t have much to talk about today. I’ve been tired as I couldn’t go to sleep last night so I’ve been dragging all day long. Its a beautiful sunny day.
We have an old grill on our deck that we need to throw away. In our last home, some starlings made a nest inside it two years in a row. This year some other starlings have nested there. They laid 4 eggs and yesterday 3 of them hatched. I don’t think the other egg is going to hatch. The babies are so cute. We love to watch them grow.
So onto a card I made the other day. I don’t usually like bugs but the bugs in this stamp set are adorable. This is a stamp set from Heffy Doodle. Its the first time I’ve used their products and I’ll definately use them again.
Here is the card.
Yellow is my favorite color and I’ve made a few yellow cards lately! Its just so bright and cheery. I stamped the images and colored them with copic alcohol markers. Then I cut them out. For the card base I used Recollections heavy weight cardstock in white and it measures 9″x4″. I used the Whimsy stamps slimline postage die for the front of the card and used 2 yellow polka dot papers for the background.
I placed the images in each of the windows and stamped the sentiment “Sending you big bug hugs”. I used Scotch 3D foam tape to add some dimension to the window.
I think its just so bright and summery, it makes me happy.
Here’s a list of supplies I used for the card:

Today I decided to make a clean and simple card. I usually love to layer patterned paper but I wanted to challenge myself to do something a little more simple. I love how it turned out. I used a die from Simon Says Stamp called “Sunflower Frame” and cut it from white cardstock 3 times.… Continue reading Clean and simple cards
Despite all that is going on in the world and the challenges we all face in our daily lives, there are always things to be thankful for. This is something I have needed to be reminded of a lot lately as we are facing a lot of trials. So I made this simple card today.… Continue reading Feeling of thanks
We’ve had lots of wind and rain today…our temperatures have dropped significantly. Its kind of a relief from the hot sun, as long as it doesn’t linger! As usual, its been a busy week. My daughter deals with three chronic illnesses and we’ve had Dr’s appointments this week with more coming up. I didn’t get… Continue reading Stormy Sunday
