There hasn’t been too much going on so I don’t have much to talk about today. I’ve been tired as I couldn’t go to sleep last night so I’ve been dragging all day long. Its a beautiful sunny day.
We have an old grill on our deck that we need to throw away. In our last home, some starlings made a nest inside it two years in a row. This year some other starlings have nested there. They laid 4 eggs and yesterday 3 of them hatched. I don’t think the other egg is going to hatch. The babies are so cute. We love to watch them grow.
So onto a card I made the other day. I don’t usually like bugs but the bugs in this stamp set are adorable. This is a stamp set from Heffy Doodle. Its the first time I’ve used their products and I’ll definately use them again.
Here is the card.
Yellow is my favorite color and I’ve made a few yellow cards lately! Its just so bright and cheery. I stamped the images and colored them with copic alcohol markers. Then I cut them out. For the card base I used Recollections heavy weight cardstock in white and it measures 9″x4″. I used the Whimsy stamps slimline postage die for the front of the card and used 2 yellow polka dot papers for the background.
I placed the images in each of the windows and stamped the sentiment “Sending you big bug hugs”. I used Scotch 3D foam tape to add some dimension to the window.
I think its just so bright and summery, it makes me happy.
Here’s a list of supplies I used for the card:

It won’t be long until St. Patrick’s Day is here. It’s not a huge card giving day but since so many of us aren’t out and about visiting people like we used to, sending a card is a great way to keep in touch. My mother was born and raised in Ireland and I remember… Continue reading St. Patrick’s Day card
It’s been quite a while since I’ve written here, sorry about that. There’s been so much going on I our lives that I just didn’t have the motivation. I will try to do better. My oldest daughter changed jobs so now she’s working from home. So we had to get an office ready for her.… Continue reading Lots going on…
How are you? We have been enjoying unseasonably mild weather for January, but it looks like all of that is going to change this weekend with snow on the way. I’ve been so busy with my Etsy shop, mostly with paper hearts. Lots and lots of people have been ordering, which is great, but I… Continue reading Busy, busy…
