This is a card that is quite different from the cards I usually do but the stamp set came in the last kit from Simon Says Stamp kit and I love it. Its a perfect time to send an encouragement card as so many of us are feeling the stress of what is going on in the world right now.
Here is the card:

This stamp set came in the last Simon Says Stamp kit. It isn’t something I would normally choose, but I love it. Thats the nice thing about kits, you sometimes get something you wouldn’t normally look for and it can expand your style.

This was a fairly simple card. I stamped the image and then colored it with alcohol markers. I cut the layers with Waffle Flowers A2 layer die set and framed them with black cardstock. I used some of the Whimsy stamp rainbow papers that were in the kit to add some color to the card.

For the sentiment I chose one from the stamp set that reads “After the storm comes the rainbow”. I stamped it on some black cardstock with versafine ink and used some of Simon Says Stamp fine detail white embossing powder and dried it with my heat gun.
I really like how it turned out.

I’ve been so busy with my Etsy shop, mostly with paper hearts. Lots and lots of people have been ordering, which is great, but I… Continue reading Busy, busy…
January blues.
I’ve been working on Valentine cards, trying to get through the January blues. Do you deal with that? The holidays are over and we are in the midst of winter. This year with the pandemic going on and all the unrest in the world, it seems worse than usual. So I’ve been trying to do… Continue reading January blues.

I’ve been trying to get into my craft room to make a card at least once a day.… Continue reading Happy New Year!
