Happy Mother’s Day!

Hello all! I hope that all of the mothers out there are having a good day. We are having a quiet day. The girls and my husband gave me some cards and bought me some flowers for the front porch and the deck. One of my daughters is making dinner and we will have a relaxing evening watching a movie together.

Here are the flowers we chose. I think they are so pretty.

Here are our baby birds…they are growing! Its so fun to go out on the deck and to hear them chirping everytime their mom comes to feed them.

So, since it is Mother’s Day, you may expect me to post a Mother’s Day card! Well, you would be wrong! I made a Father’s Day card the other day and thats the one I will share today. It’ll be here before we know it.

I find it hard to make more masculine cards but this one came together quite easily for me. In the Scrapping For Less kit a few months ago, it was all masculine papers and stamps and thats what helped this happen so easily.

So, the paper that I used came from Scrapping For Less. I love their paper as it is a good quality cardstock and it has a sheen to it that I really like. I used a window die and chose some tool themed paper to fill in the spaces. I used the Sunny Studio “tool time” stamp set that came in the kit.

I colored the saw image with copic markers and added some enamel dots to finish it off.

See you soon!

The card I’m going to share today fits in with the snow theme. I got the semi circle stitched dies from Sunny Studio Stamos and I love… Continue reading Snowy Day

Winter card

We have warmed up a lot here in Utah but it looks like winter will arrive on the weekend so I doubt we will see these nice temperatures for a while. I am enjoying making Winter and Christmas cards but I’m trying to squeeze in other types of cards too…though not today!! This one is… Continue reading Winter card

Cute penguins and knitting!

Growing up in Scotland, we were taught to knit at a very young age. I remember being taught to knit a pair of slippers in elementary school. I love to knit. It’s something I’ve done for almost my entire life. I don’t do it as much now as I spend so much time making cards… Continue reading Cute penguins and knitting!
