Autumn Wishes!

Its funny to be thinking about fall/autumn as we are still hovering around 100 degrees here in Northern Utah! I love fall but I don’t like the fact that it means winter is just around the corner. So I always leave summer behind with mixed feelings.

This card was made using a stamp set from Taylored Expressions called “cutting edge”.

I stamped the image and colored it with copic markers. I then used the coordinating dies to cut the image out, leaving quite a bit of white space at the bottom. I layered it with some fall colored patterned paper.

I then stamped the sentiment “autumn wishes”, from the same stamp set, in the bottom right corner. I added some tiny images from the stamp set around the sentiment, along with some fall colored gems. I then matted it with black cardstock and added it to a white card base.

Sick dog and Halloween cards

Maggie wasn’t feeling good last week and her ears were bleeding. Initially we thought she had allergies and made her ears bleed by scratching them so much, but it turned out she had major infections in both ears. After a few hours at the vet’s office, she came home with lots of medication. Some of the medication is in her ears and it gradually disperses over time. Its made her pretty deaf so thats been interesting. She’s still not back to normal but she’s improving every day.

I’ve been having fun making some Halloween cards. This set was made with a stamp set from Taylored Expressions.

I stamped the images and colored them with copic markers. I then used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I used some Halloween cardstock for the background and stamped and embossed the sentiment on a black strip of cardstock. I adhered everything to a grey cardbase.

I love how they turned out!

Floral card

I’ve spent a lot of time over the last few days stamping, coloring and cutting images for cards. This way I will be able to put a card together more quickly…I hope!!

Today I made a floral card on an embossed background.

It was a pretty simple card to make. To start I embossed the background using some white cardstock and a Darice embossing folder.

I then stamped and colored an image from Taylored Expressions called Beautiful Blossoms and then I used the coordinating dies to cut the image.

The sentiment I used is from the same stamp set and I stamped it with versamark on some black cardstock. I then used white embossing powder and heat emobossed it.

I used liquid glue to attach the flowers to the panel and then used foam tape to attach the sentiment. I matted the panel with black cardstock and then adhered it to a white card base.

I hope you like it. I like how simple it is.

Where does the time go?

Its been a while! I didn’t realize how long it had been since I had posted on the blog. Life has been busy and I haven’t had a lot of time to make any cards. I did make a few yesterday and I’ve also started working on some wooden decor for Halloween!

Here’s one of the cards I made yesterday:

I used the stamp set “Space Explorer” from MFT. I stamped the images and colored them with copic markers.

For the background I used distress oxide inks and then I splattered it with water, then white paint and perfect pearls. I then adhered the images on to the background. I matted it with black cardstock and glued it to a white card base.

I then stamped the sentiment on some white paper and then added some distress ink to it to help it blend in more.

Here’s a few pictures of some of the wooden items I’ve been working on. They are available in my Etsy shop. http://www.etsy.com/shop/jasmineblossomcrafts

I hope this finds you well. See you next time!
